Vocal about the lack of respect his team received throughout their dominant playoff run, Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone is rightfully still celebrating the 2023 NBA title. Most vocal during Denver's sweep over the Los Angeles Lakers, Malone emerged as a legend amongst the Nuggets fanbase, and his championship parade performance only elevated that status.

Partying with fans at the parade, Malone was having an incredible time, and continued his celebration with an epic tattoo of Denver's first mascot:

Malone is a Nuggets legend already, but fans will likely celebrate him even more after this. Not only did Malone lead Denver to their first NBA championship, but he did it with a level of confidence that helped silence all of the noise surrounding that team. There were a lot of narratives about Denver entering the postseason, some of which had persisted for years, but they silenced all of that noise with the help of their head coach.

Advocating for his players throughout this run, Malone wanted his superstar Nikola Jokic to receive the same recognition that his peers get. While Jokic did ultimately get the attention he deserved, it was often delayed while media outlets discussed other big names - several of which Jokic eliminated or even swept.

This Nuggets title will always be remembered, and for Malone, he even got a tattoo to celebrate it.
