While Nikola Jokic was the NBA Finals MVP, Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone was the Championship Parade MVP. This was the joke going around social media after Malone went viral for his celebration at the parade, and it's one he's seen.

Not on social media, Malone recently said during an episode of The Lowe Post podcast that his daughters will send him funny posts they see about him, and they shared some of the reactions to his parade behavior with him. Loving the responses, Malone appreciated the fans, and even revealed a message he received from Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr about his celebration.

"So many people reached out," Malone said. "I was on the phone with Steve Kerr, and Steve Kerr has won how many? Four. He was like, 'I loved every minute of it, good for you.' So I have no regret, I'm glad we enjoyed it. Hopefully we will be back doing it a few more times, if not one more."

It was really cool to hear Malone share this story, because even somebody like Kerr who has won several championships can appreciate how much it means just to get one. Winning in the NBA is hard, and it's never guaranteed. Understanding that this may be a once in a lifetime moment, Malone enjoyed every minute of it.
