During a recent appearance on Gil's Arena, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul shared a controversial take on the LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan debate. Paul, who notably represents the Los Angeles Lakers star, said, "I just think LeBron's antlers is in platinum and Michael Jordan's may be in gold. Why? Because he had to be compared to Mike. Who did Mike have to be compared to?"

The comments went viral, and were incredibly controversial, but Denver Nuggets star Aaron Gordon respects Paul for sticking with his guy:

The post Gordon reacted to has accumulated over 4.5M views, with many of those being a result of the ongoing debate Paul's comments sparked. Thousands have weighed in on what the Klutch Sports CEO had to say, with many believing this was a misguided way to approach the Jordan vs. LeBron debate.

While it makes sense for Paul to stand by his guy, like Gordon said, this may not be the best way to have this conversation. LeBron's greatness is enough to make a GOAT case, but attempting to diminish who Jordan was by asking a question like this is what many took exception to.

That said, this is one of those debates that will remain contentious no matter the point being made or the stance being taken, so it's not surprising that Paul's comments became so controversial.
