Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray was asked about opening night vs. the Los Angeles Lakers, and while he admitted ring night will be incredible, the star point guard said the focus will quickly shift to winning a basketball game.

"It’s over for me," Murray said, per Harrison Wind of DNVR. "It’s a new year. We’ve got to do it again. That year was great. It was a great summer, but ring night is Game 1, so we have to move on. Game 1 is Tuesday. Ring night is great. Banner night, it’s amazing. But we’ve got to win a game at the end of the day."

On there being any potential added motivation facing the Los Angeles Lakers in this game, Murray said, "No. That’s all for you guys. I just go play basketball and have fun."

While the Lakers have been talking about the Nuggets quite a but in the weeks leading up to this game, there has been minimal responses from Denver's side. Recognizing that last year is last year, the Nuggets are not satisfied with just one championship. Hoping to build a dynasty in Denver, this group is focused on doing what they need to do in order to sustain this success.

While the Lakers may have a chip on their shoulder in this game, it seems the Nuggets do not.
