After playing just 9 minutes vs. the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night, Denver Nuggets star point guard Jamal Murray left the game with right hamstring tightness and did not return. The severity of this injury is unknown, and there has not been any update from the Nuggets beyond their initial announcement. That said, a more concrete update will likely come from the team after the game.

Hamstring injuries are always tricky, especially in an explosive sport like basketball that requires so much starting and stopping at fast speeds. For this reason, it would make sense for the Nuggets to be extra cautious with Murray this early in the season.

Having dealt with injuries in the past, Murray is always a player the Nuggets will watch closely, especially early in the year. As previously mentioned, the extent of Denver's report on the star point guard is that he left the game with hamstring tightness and was not able to return.

Veteran point guard Reggie Jackson started in Murray's place in the second half, which suggested Murray would be out for the game, but an official announcement from the team did not come until the third quarter was underway. For now, the next update will likely come from Michael Malone during his postgame press conference, assuming he has been updated by the team's medical staff.
