Star Player on Injury Report for Nuggets vs. Hawks
The Denver Nuggets and Atlanta Hawks face off in what should be a very exciting game, but there's one important player listed on the injury report - Jamal Murray.
Jamal Murray is officially listed as probable for the Denver Nuggets vs Atlanta Hawks with a right ankle sprain. He will likely be a game-time decision for the game. He's missed a few games with the injury, specifically, against the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings, so it's good to see him be probable against the Hawks.
In 12 games against the Atlanta Hawks, Jamal Murray has averaged 16.0 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.6 rebounds on 47/35/88 shooting. Defensively, he'll likely have his hands full guarding Trae Young the entire game.
The Denver Nuggets have currently been struggling tremendously, even though they have both Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic back in the starting lineup. They've lost their last three straight games against the Sacramento Kings, LA Clippers, and Houston Rockets. Right before that, the team was just on a four-game winning streak against the Spurs, Clippers, Rockets, and Suns.
Theoretically, the Nuggets should handle the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night. Atlanta has also struggled, losing three games straight, so it's going to be a battle of two slumping teams. Hopefully, Nikola Jokic can get out of his shooting slump and finally give the Nuggets a much-needed win.
