The Denver Nuggets have released their injury report for Friday night's game vs. the Houston Rockets, and Jamal Murray has been ruled out. Murray has missed Denver's last eight games with a hamstring injury, but he has been on this road trip with the team, so it seemed the door was open for a potential return. That said, with this being the last game of the road trip, it's now clear that Murray will not be making a return on the trip.

After this game vs. Houston, Denver will head back home for a game vs. the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. The Nuggets will then head back out on the road following that game, facing the LA Clippers in Los Angeles on Monday before coming back home for another game vs. Houston on Wednesday.

It's unclear how far away Murray is from a return, but it seems he is getting closer, especially since he joined the team on this road trip. The Nuggets certainly need their star point guard back, having gone just 4-4 in the eight games he has missed. While Denver has a lot of depth, and of course the reigning Finals MVP, Murray is an invaluable piece to what they do, and his absence has been felt.

Looking to bounce back from their loss to Orlando, the Nuggets will face the Rockets on Friday in Houston.
