Denver Nuggets star Aaron Gordon suffered a dog bite injury that has sidelined him for the last two games. Expecting to be ready for Denver's next game, Gordon spoke with The Denver Post about his injury, and the surprising details of how it all went down.

"I guess it’s a little bit embarrassing, but not too embarrassing to where I can’t talk about it," Gordon told Bennett Durando of The Denver Post. "I don’t drink a lot during the season. I probably had a little bit too much eggnog. I was kind of roughhousing with my dog, and I think my dog got a little excited and just basically chomped down. Gave me a bite. And I was basically wrestling him off of me, and then he bit my hand. For lack of better words, I was (messing) around with my dog, and when you (mess) around, you find out."

While this is of course a very scary situation, it sounds as if Gordon was able to avoid anything too serious, which is great news for everyone. Ready to get back out there with his teammates, Gordon was certainly missed in their last two games, with Denver going 1-1 in his absence.

All things considered, a two game absence for Gordon is a positive outcome, if he is indeed able to return next game.
