The Indiana Pacers picked up the Denver Nuggets' best bench piece this offseason, signing Bruce Brown to a big contract in free agency. Now that they have Brown, could Indiana help replenish Denver's bench by sending over a different backup guard?

In a recent article from Bleacher Report, a hypothetical trade between the Nuggets and Pacers was proposed that lands T.J. McConnell in Denver in exchange for Reggie Jackson, Zeke Nnaji, and a 2025 second-round pick. It's not the typical blockbuster-level trade that usually gets written about this time of year, but it could make sense for both sides.

McConnell was very reliable for the Pacers last season, appearing in 75 games, averaging 20.3 minutes per contest. In his role, which was primarily off the bench, McConnell averaged 8.7 PPG and 5.3 APG while converting on an efficient 54.3% of his field goal attempts.

Re-signing Reggie Jackson in free agency, it seemed the Nuggets were hopeful he could regain his early-Clippers form, and help fill some important bench minutes. While Jackson was great for the Clippers his first two seasons there, he really struggled last season before being dealt to Denver where those struggles continued. Betting on him to be a reliable rotation piece next season may be a bit of a risk for the Nuggets, which is why a hypothetical trade like this is being proposed.
