During a recent episode of JJ Redick's "The Old Man and The Three" podcast, San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama joined the show to talk about a multitude of topics. During the episode, Wembanyama was asked which NBA players he has been watching the most. At the top of his list was Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

"In the playoffs I really loved [watching] Jokic," Wembanyama said. "He was the guy I watched the most. Embiid also. But in the past couple years it was more Giannis and KD a lot."

Those are certainly some great examples for a player like Wembanyama to follow. Jokic of course had a legendary playoff run, Embiid was the regular season MVP, and both Giannis and Durant are players who dominate the game in ways most players their size do not.

It's been a lot of fun hearing Wembanyama talk with the media and on shows like this, because as talented as the Spurs star is, he's equally as humble. San Antonio is understandably thrilled to have Wembanyama, as their rebuild over the last few seasons has produced the best possible outcome.

While the Spurs still have a ways to go before they have a contending roster around Wembanyama, his addition should expedite their pursuit of winning players. Wembanyama has been vocal about his intention to win right away, which is something the Spurs can certainly get behind.
