Former Golden State Warriors champion Justin Holiday was picked up by the Denver Nuggets earlier this offseason, and will be competing for a rotation spot in camp. Speaking at media day, the veteran forward shared his thoughts on joining the defending champions.

“I’ve been in this league 11 years,” Holiday said. “I’m honest with myself. I know how this works. I’ve been traded. I’ve been signed a good amount of times, so I know what that conversation is supposed to look like.”

Liking how the conversations went with Denver, Holiday decided to sign with them. Now getting to play with Nikola Jokic, Holiday shared his thoughts on that.

“I think it’s going to work well. I’ve had most of my success in the NBA playing with a big that can pass,” Holiday said. "When you can play through a bigger guy in the middle, it gives everybody else a chance to move.”

Nikola Jokic makes the game easier for everybody, and this is something Holiday is excited to experience as the star center's new teammate. While there may not be a lot of minutes available for Holiday this season, he’s a solid veteran presence who has a championship under his belt. Not a major contributor to that 2014-15 Warriors team, Holiday was still able to get that experience which is always important.
