After arguing a non-call in Tuesday night's game vs. the Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic was ejected. While there is of course no way to know what Jokic said to warrant an ejection, it did not seem as if he did anything that was worthy of being thrown out:

With an ejection as controversial as this one, there will almost certainly be a pool report with an official from this game and a reporter covering it. Jokic was understandably shocked that he had been ejected, because while he could have said something worthy of receiving a technical foul, an ejection seems very excessive in this instance.

Jokic was ejected from a game earlier this season, as was his head coach Michael Malone. NBA officials vary in their levels of patience, with some officials allowing players to talk with them much longer than others do. This is one of the biggest issues that players have with officials, as there is often no dialogue allowed.

While there are of course things that cannot be said, most players just want officials to hear them out on a certain call or a certain trend. There are some officials who are willing to listen, and there are others who are much quicker to hand out technical fouls and even ejections like the one Jokic received.
