Victor Wembanyama is a monster.

There may have been some apprehension when the season started, but now, there's no denying that Victor Wembanyama is an absolute monster. Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets saw that firsthand on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday night, Wembanyama put up 23 points, 15 rebounds, 9 blocks, 8 assists, and 1 steal. They were legitimately unreal numbers for any player to put up, let alone a 20-year-old rookie. After the game, the Nuggets head coach had one very simple but massive statement to say about the prodigy.

"He's the future of the NBA."

The most fascinating thing about Victor Wembanyama isn't just the fact that he's a rookie, but it's the fact this will likely be the worst than fans ever see him be in the league. Most players are at their worst during their rookie years, and only improve from then on, every single year. The idea of Wembanyama improving even more after what fans are seeing is legitimately terrifying. His shot selection will get better, his shot selection will get better, and his aggressiveness will only get better.

It's important to remember that Nikola Jokic is only 29-years-old himself. Jokic and Wembanyama will have duels for years to come, the same way fans saw Jordan duel Kobe, and the Kobe duel Lebron James. It's an exciting future of the NBA that fans should relish every single moment of. Hopefully, these two titans can meet in the NBA Playoffs soon.
