The Indiana Pacers won a ridiculous 157-152 game against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night. With 309 total points, it was tied for the 16th highest scoring game in NBA regular season history, per Dunkest.

"Happy we can leave with a win," Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton said during a postgame interview on the Bally Sports Indiana broadcast of the game. He was excellent, finishing with 37 points and 16 assists.

Such a high-scoring game led to numerous franchise records for the Pacers, and Haliburton snagged one himself. It was a night for the record books, and one that won't soon be forgotten.

Ironically, the first record that came in the game was from Atlanta. They scored 86 points in the first half, which broke the Hawks best-ever mark for points in a first half. They were up by 20 points in the second quarter and looked like they were going to cruise to victory.

But Indiana, and Haliburton, had answers. They adjusted defensively, and Haliburton had a third quarter for the ages to lead a comeback. During the third period alone, the Pacers star point guard had 26 points and four assists. The 26 points were the most ever scored by an Indiana player in one quarter, a record previously held by... Tyrese Haliburton, as well as teammate Jordan Nwora.

He made seven threes in the quarter, which is also a franchise record. Haliburton and Justin Holiday previously had made six in one frame, per Statmuse. He made all of his foul shots, too. The Pacers outscored the Hawks by 18 points with the start guard on the floor during the frame. He totally turned the game around.

Speaking of three-point shots, the blue and gold knocked down 22 in this game, going 22/45 from long range. That was one shy of their franchise record — they nailed 23 against Brooklyn early last season.

With both teams unable to miss down the stretch, the Pacers were able to reach 157 total points. That's their franchise record for points scored in a game, with the previous best being 152. The total score of 309 was also the most scored in a regular season game the Pacers were involved in, with the previous high being 305.

It was an eventful game with baskets going back and forth, and Indiana was able to get it done. Also for the record books — by winning the game, the Pacers became the first team in NBA history to clinch their NBA In-Season Tournament group. They are 3-0 in Eastern Conference Group A and will be playing in the Quarterfinals in early December.

The Pacers will try to follow up their ridiculous outing on Wednesday in Indianapolis against the Toronto Raptors.
