The Indiana Pacers 2022-23 season is done. After a 35-47 campaign, the Pacers are pivoting to offseason mode. It's certain to be a busy one.

For now, though, it's a time to be reflective. Amid the 82 games, the Pacers saw many players have strong campaigns. Young players grew while veterans put their stamp on the games and culture. Indiana has a strong base for a build.

Part of that strong base was constructed by career years from many key players. And some of those career-best years led to Pacers players writing their name in the franchise record books (according to Basketball Reference) this season.

Buddy Hield, for example, set the Pacers franchise record for made three-point shots (288) and attempted threes (677). He said he would have liked to hit 300, but he still was a top shooter in the league. Only Klay Thompson made more triples than Hield this season.

The shooting guard broke the record in February, before the All-Star break even happened. Hield had the best shooting season in franchise history by the numbers, though the era he plays in certainly helps. The record was previously held by Reggie Miller.

"He's obsessed with the art of shooting. And when you're obsessed with something, and you work at it, and you have the ability to go along with it, you can change the game," Rick Carlisle, the Pacers head coach, said of Hield's shooting ability.

Hield was traded to the team in 2022. Along with Hield came Tyrese Haliburton, who was named an All-Star this season for the first time. He, too, set a few franchise records this season.

As a brilliant passer, it's no surprise that Haliburton set the Pacers' all time assist percentage record at 47.6%. When he is on the court, the ball is in his hands, and he makes a ton of productive passes every game. It's no surprise he smashed that record, which was previously held by Mark Jackson. Haliburton would have broken Jackson's assists per game record had he played in enough games, but he didn't reach the 58 games played requirement. Jackson still holds that record.

Haliburton also set the record for Box Plus-Minus (+7.2) and Offensive Box Plus-Minus (+7.0). George McGinnis held the previous total BPM record while Miller had the old OBPM record. BPM, according to Basketball Reference, is "a box score estimate of the points per 100 possessions that a player contributed above a league-average player, translated to an average team."

Myles Turner wrapped up the team's new franchise records by having the best single-season true shooting percentage in Pacers history. He set the mark at an efficient 65.1%, surpassing the previous record held by Miller.

True shooting percentage is a shooting efficiency calculation based on the point value of a shot or free throw attempt. Turner was excellent from inside the arc and from deep while hitting 78.3% of his foul shots.

The Pacers were close to a few other franchise records, including Hield being close to setting the effective field goal percentage record. But in the end, it was just these eight records that were set this season. Now, Indiana transitions into offseason and draft mode.
