Fort Wayne Mad Ants forward Justin Anderson was named to the 2022-23 All-NBA G League Third Team.

The announcement came on Thursday. Anderson, 29, spent the entire season in the G League after playing in 13 games for the Indiana Pacers during the 2021-22 campaign. He averaged 20.0 points per game in 48 appearances for the Mad Ants over the course of the full season.

Anderson was on the All-NBA G League First Team in 2021-22. He has done well for Fort Wayne across the last two seasons, and it's part of why he got an NBA callup last year.

"I'm just two feet in each step here in the G League and Fort Wayne, and like I said it's a great setup," Anderson said in late 2022.

During the 2022-23 G League regular season, Anderson scored the second-most total points of any player. He finished fourth in points per game during that stretch. His play was vital to the Mad Ants reaching the playoffs.

According to the team, Anderson is the third Fort Wayne player to be honored via the G League All-NBA team in multiple seasons. The other two were Tony Mitchell and Ron Howard.

The forward is joined on the Third Team All-NBA G League by Chris Chiozza, Moussa Diabate, Xavier Moon, and Isaiah Mobley. The Mad Ants lost in the first round of the postseason.

Anderson has goals to re-enter the NBA, and a season like this will help his chances. He will hope to continue his high-level play next season.
