Per a video posted by Swish Cultures and then shared by the NBA, Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin and Golden State Warriors wing Klay Thompson recently worked out together.

In the video, the two players were going against each other one-on-one. They also were working on dribble moves and jump shots.

Per the post by the NBA, the two players were working with trainer Charlie Torres. Torres has worked with multiple NBA players in the past, including Thompson, Mathurin, Derrick Williams, and Kelly Oubre.

Thompson and Mathurin have only faced off in the NBA once so far. On December 5, 2022, the Pacers beat the Warriors in Golden State, and Mathurin finished with 14 points. Fellow rookie Andrew Nembhard was exceptional that night and led Indiana to a win.

Thompson, meanwhile, contributed 28 points for Golden State. He was one of the best players on the court that night.

If Mathurin can take anything from Thompson, the Pacers will hope it's his shooting. The splash brother is one of the best outside shooters in the NBA and led the league with 301 threes last season. The Pacers second-year guard started off hot but finished the season poorly from deep, shooting 32.3%. If Mathurin could pair his isolation scoring ability with an outside shot, he would be extremely hard to defend.

The sixth overall pick is an important piece for the Pacers this year. His development is one of the biggest questions hanging over the team. Thompson, meanwhile, is hoping to continue his strong play after missing more than two full seasons due to injury.
