The NBA announced its performance award winners for games played last week on Monday, and the Indiana Pacers had two finalists.

Both Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner were among the nominees for Eastern Conference Player of the week. The honor was given to a player in each conference who had the best level of play during games that occurred between February 5 and 11.

In the East, Siakam and Turner's conference, Donovan Mitchell was the winner. He averaged 28 points and five assists per game during that stretch, and his team (Cleveland) went 4-0. He has been brilliant this season. Mavericks guard Luka Doncic was the winner in the West.

The Pacers played three games in that span of dates, going 2-1. They defeated the New York Knicks and Houston Rockets while falling to the Golden State Warriors. It was a needed stretch for the team after going 1-3 in the prior week.

Turner averaged 19.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game during the week. He scored over 20 points in two of those games, including a 23-point outing while shooting 9/9 from the field in New York. He was excellent that night, and he was a recent nominee for this same honor.

Siakam, meanwhile, posted 21.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game during that week. He scored 29 points against Houston, his second-largest total to date for the blue and gold.

Both Siakam and Turner, along with head coach Rick Carlisle, were finalists for monthly awards in January. They have both been playing well since the calendar changed years.

They also have been forming a strong partnership in the frontcourt for the blue and gold. They contribute on both ends of the floor and make life easier for each other. It's fitting that they have been nominated for performance awards together on multiple occasions.

Indiana, and its talented starting frontcourt, will play one more game before the All-Star break tomorrow night in Toronto. It will be Siakam's first game back in Canada since being traded.
