The Indiana Pacers had their annual scrimmage for fans, known as FanJam, on Saturday. This year, things were more competitive as head coach Rick Carlisle wanted to treat the proceedings more like a real game.

"It'll be a different approach to FanJam and I think our fans will really like it," the head coach said at media day.

The blue team took down the white team 51-44. After the game, an important yearly tradition takes place — Pacers rookies, both players and staff, put on a costume and sing a song for the fans.

This year, because the Pacers had extra draft picks and are a developing group, they had four rookies with duties. In the past, some of them have seemed nervous — others had no trouble. "Nah. Breeze," second-year guard Andrew Nembhard described of the experience last season. He sang "Firework" by Katy Perry while dressed as Buzz Lightyear.

iPacers chronicled all of the 2023 performances. Jarace Walker, who Indiana selected eighth overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, sang "California Gurls" by Katy Perry while dressed as an elf.

Ben Sheppard, who the Pacers added with the 26th overall selection in the most recent draft, wore a Luigi costume and belted "One Time" by Justin Bieber.

Indiana's final 2023 draft pick was Isaiah Wong, who was taken with the 55th selection. He had a Donald Duck outfit on and performed "Return Of The Mack" by Mark Morrison.

Undrafted center Oscar Tshiebwe, who inked a two-way contract with the Pacers, dressed up as Sully and sang "Shut Up And Dance With Me" by Walk The Moon.

As a bonus, the rookies had a dance contest afterwards. Ultimately, Walker was named the winner of the rookie contest, per iPacers.

The Pacers next game is a preseason outing. They host the Atlanta Hawks on Monday for their first home exhibition game of the 2023-24 campaign.
