According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Indiana Pacers are acquiring forward Jordan Nwora from the Milwaukee Bucks in a trade.

The deal is a part of a bigger package that sends Jae Crowder from Brooklyn to Milwaukee. Because the trade in which the Nets acquired Crowder is not yet official, it isn't known what the exact mechanics of the deal are.

Nwora is a 24-year old forward who can shoot the ball well from deep (37.6% for his career) but doesn't have as much skill inside the arc. He is a decent defender and fills a needed role on the Pacers as a power forward.

The Pacers needed to clear a roster spot to bring in Nwora. Charania reports that the team will waive center Goga Bitadze, who hasn't played much for the team recently. Indiana has a logjam of reserve big men.

The Pacers have to send something to other team(s) involved in the trade to complete a deal like this. It is unknown what the exact parameters of the deal are at this time. Charania reports that the Pacers are also getting two second-round picks in the deal.

Nwora won a title with the Bucks in 2021 and is in his third NBA season. He attended the University of Louisville.
