The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup is underway, and the Indiana Pacers have plenty of involvement to keep an eye on this week.

The blue and gold have seen a trio of players suit up for their national teams this month, including guard Buddy Hield and the Bahamas winning an Olympic pre-qualifying tournament early last week. The Bahamas aren't in the World Cup, though. Instead, the Pacers two representatives in the competition are Daniel Theis (Germany) and Tyrese Haliburton (Team USA).

Last week, both players wrapped up exhibition play and looked effective. On Friday, the World Cup itself started, and both players have played in one game each so far.

This week, Theis and Haliburton will play in at least two games, and likely more. Here is when and where it happens for both players.

Tyrese Haliburton and Team USA

After defeating New Zealand 99-72 on Saturday, Team USA has a great chance to get out of Group C. They play the other two teams in their group early in the coming week.

On Monday, Haliburton and co will battle Greece, the second-strongest roster (on paper) they will face during the opening rounds. Team USA took down Greece in a friendly on August 18. This time around, the game will be played at 8:40 a.m. Eastern Time.

Then, on Wednesday, Team USA closes out group play against Jordan. That game will be much earlier and will tip off at 4:40 a.m. Eastern Time.

Both games will be played in Mall Of Asia Arena in Pasay, a city in the Philippines. They will be streamed on ESPN2. A win over Greece or Jordan and point differential help elsewhere is all the red, white, and blue need to get out of the opening rounds. If that happens, they will again later in the week at a to-be-determined time.

Daniel Theis and Germany

Theis and the German squad opened up the first Group Stage round with a comfortable win over Japan 81-63. They are in a tougher group than Team USA, but they started off strong.

Their next two outings are against tougher competition in Australia and Finland, but Germany is talented enough to get by both groups. Theis and co have a bruising style that is difficult to deal with.

Their first game this week is on Sunday at 4:30 a.m. Eastern Time against the Austrailians. Both rosters have multiple NBA players, and that game could decide who ends up winning Group E.

On Tuesday, Germany closes the opening round with a 3:30 a.m. Eastern Time duel with Finland. Like Team USA, there are multiple ways the Germans can get out of group play. One more win would go a long way, as would point differential help.

If Germany reaches the top-two teams in their group, they will also play more games later in the week, but they are currently not scheduled. All of Germany's already-planned outings will be streamed on Courtside1891 and ESPN+ and will be played at Okinawa Arena in Okinawa, Japan.

Both teams could play into next week if they continue to achieve favorable results. Haliburton and Team USA took down Germany last weekend.
