Three different Indiana Pacers players will suit up for their home countries this offseason, and the game action begins this week.

Center Daniel Theis will suit up for the German national team in FIBA 2023 World Cup play. Guard Tyrese Haliburton is a member of Team USA for World Cup play as well, and he has already gotten started with the squad. Buddy Hield and the Bahamas roster will work toward qualifying for the 2024 Olympics this month as well. It's a busy slate for the blue and gold.

"I think just, you're being put in different situations," Haliburton said this summer when discussing what he hopes to get out of Team USA play. He hasn't played in more than a Pro-Am since his last NBA outing — a 19 point, 13 assist performance against the Atlanta Hawks on March 25.

For the first time since the end of the regular season, which was nearly four months ago, members of the blue and gold will play organized games soon. And it all starts this week with Haliburton.

Team USA has a few scrimmages leading up to World Cup play, and two of them are this week. The first one is on Monday as the red, white, and blue take on Puerto Rico in Las Vegas. It will be at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.

Team USA recently announced an agreement with Fox Sports to stream the exhibitions ahead of the World Cup.

The second game Team USA will play this week, which will also be on FOX Sports, comes on Saturday. They will battle Slovenia in Malaga, Spain as they continue their USA Basketball Showcase ahead of the big tournament later in the month.

Hield doesn't begin international play until August 14, though the Bahamas takes on the Universty of Kansas on Monday. The first publicly scheduled upcoming game for Germany is a scrimmage against Canada on the 9th. There is still some time before either of them suit up. Haliburton and team USA get going early this week, and there will be some Pacers in action for roughly a month from that point on.
