Pelicans Forward Zion Williamson Stars In New Starry Drink Commercial
New Orleans, LA-The New Orleans Pelicans have yet to appear in the NBA Finals, but Zion Williamson made his debut on Thursday. Williamson joined forces with Minnesota Timberwolves forward Karl-Anthony Towns and LSU college woman's basketball champion Angel Reese in a star-studded commercial from Starry Drink. Starry is PepsiCo's new lemon-lime soda and is the official drink of the NBA.
The soft drink began distribution earlier this year, and the theme of this commercial is "3 is greater than 2". All three stars appear in the commercial sitting down as they talk about the slogan amongst themselves.
Williamson is no stranger to endorsements. Zion has deals with Gatorade, Mountain Dew, and 2K Sports, just to name a few. He also is a member of the Jordan Brand, where two official releases of his signature shoe have hit the market. Zion remains one of the more marketable players in the NBA despite his injury history since joining the Pelicans in 2019.
The NBA campaign from Starry includes a commercial, a short film about the inception of the three-point line, and a hot line for fans called "Dial A 3". Zion figures to be a prominent fixture for this ongoing partnership with Starry and the NBA.
