Zion Williamson showed Anthony Edwards respect for being a "Hooper" against the Pelicans on Sunday afternoon in Minnesota.

The Pelicans failed to beat the T-Wolves by going cold for the final six minutes of the contest. The main reason why New Orleans fell short was because of Minnesota's young star, Anthony Edwards. One could say Edwards scoring 26 points was the significant factor for winning, but his outstanding defense against Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum at the game's end handed the T-Wolves the victory.

While healing and sitting on the bench, Zion Williamson noticed Anthony Edwards' game and paid his respects to him outside of Minnesota's locker room. "Hooper to hooper, I give respect when it's due," Zion Williamson told Anthony Edwards.

Edwards was harassing the Pelicans into committing fouls, turnovers, and taking poor shots throughout the game. His block of a CJ McCollum dunk attempt punctuated how solid of a defender he is in the league. The third-year player finished the day with 26 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, four steals, and four blocked shots.

The T-Wolves' fans shouted "MVP, MVP, MVP" while he shot free throws in the 4th stanza.

As for Zion Williamson, the Pelicans will be without their superstar in Wednesday's NBA Play-In Tournament game against the Oklahoma Thunder, scheduled for an 8:30 PM CT tip-off at Smoothie King Center.
