BREAKING: CJ McCollum, Trey Murphy III Status For Sixers-Pelicans, 11/29
The Pelicans (9-9, 9th Western Conference) and 76ers (12-5, 4th Eastern Conference) will tangle tonight at Smoothie King Center after New Orleans dropped two straight to the Jazz in Salt Lake City. A few bowls of seafood gumbo and crawfish etouffee may be the diet Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and the Pelicans required to regain strength to face Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, and Tyrese Maxey for this East-West showdown.
UPDATE - 5:00 PM CT: CJ McCollum Will Play
Last night, the New Orleans Pelicans advanced to the NBA In-Season Tournament Knockout Round, thanks to the Dallas Mavericks defeating the Houston Rockets. Another gift came with the news that star guard CJ McCollum has been upgraded to "PROBABLE" compared to "QUESTIONABLE" earlier today. Having McCollum back in the lineup could spark energy and give New Orleans an extra scoring threat on the perimeter and mid-range.
New Orleans elevated Trey Murphy III and Matt Ryan to "DOUBTFUL," and Dereon Seabron is "OUT" due to his G League assignment with the Birmingham Squadron.
