NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Pelicans have assigned guard Jordan Hawkins to their G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron. It's the second time this season that Hawkins has been with the Squadron. He scored 32 points in 36.9 minutes of game action with Birmingham in December.
Hawkins will be available for Tuesday's game against the Long Island Nets today at Legacy Arena at the BJCC. The game is set to begin at 11:00 AM CT.
New Orleans selected Hawkins from UConn as the 14th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. The 6-5 shooting guard has 55 game appearances with ten starts for the Pelicans this season. He's averaging 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 19.5 minutes.
