New Orleans Pelicans Reportedly Signing Forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl To Two-Year Contract

Sources reveal the Pelicans are adding Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to their roster.

New Orleans, LA - NBA Insider Shams Charania announced on Friday the Pelicans are signing Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to a two-way contract. Robinson-Earl's two-way contract converts into a standard contract, filling the necessary 14th roster spot for New Orleans.

The Pelicans still have another open roster spot and an extra two-way contract available. Sources reveal the second year of Robinson Earl's deal has a team option. New Orleans has yet to officially announce the deal.

Robinson-Earl was selected with the 32nd pick in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. After spending two seasons in Oklahoma City, the Thunder traded him to the Rockets before Houston released him at the start of this season. This year, he's appeared in 21 games for the Pelicans, averaging 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest.

The 6-9 forward is shooting 36% from the three-point line this season and 90% from the free-throw line. Robinson-Earl has only appeared in two games this month, averaging two minutes in those contests.

New Orleans is 33-22 at the All-Star break, their best record since the 2008 season. The Pelicans are currently No. 6 in the Western Conference standings.
