New Orleans, LA - The Pelicans face a tough test against a surging Miami Heat squad. The Heat have won six of their last eight games, moving up to No. 8 in the Eastern Conference. New Orleans is unsure of the status of two of their biggest stars, Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.

Ingram is listed with a non-COVID-related illness. The same illness caused him to miss Thursday night's victory against the Houston Rockets. New Orleans is 4-1 in games where B.I. doesn't play. On the season, Ingram leads the Pelicans in assists (5.8), while averaging 21.4 points per game.

Williamson is listed with a left foot contusion, a designation he's had on the injury list for some time. Zion scored 27 points and dished out nine assists on Thursday night versus Houston. The team previously held Williamson from back-to-back games as a precaution, but that mandate has mostly been lifted. Williamson has not played against the Heat since Christmas of 2020. Miami has beaten the Pels six straight times.
