Suns Reveal Starters vs Clippers
PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns have a huge game ahead tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Suns are finishing up the 41-game regular season home slate tonight - and there couldn't be more at stake tonight.
A game that could ultimately decide final seeding in the ultra-competitive Western Conference.
The Suns likely need a victory tonight to stay inside of the top six in the West - and head coach Frank Vogel opted to go with this lineup:
Devin Booker
Bradley Beal
Grayson Allen
Kevin Durant
Drew Eubanks
Typical starter Jusuf Nurkic was ruled out ahead of game time with a sprained ankle.
Grayson Allen has enjoyed a stellar season in his first campaign in Phoenix - pushing efficiency marks of 50/46/88 in 71 appearances.
A bounce-back performance from the sharpshooter would be more than welcome - Allen shot 3-for-10 from three-point range in Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans in a rare game in which he was out of rhythm.
The Suns are coming into this game as winners of seven of their last 10 as well - not everything has been as disastrous as some are letting on, as the starting unit has become tangibly better as a group over the home stretch.
This observation is evidenced by Phoenix possessing the third-best net rating in basketball since Bradley Beal's return to the lineup on December 29 - the starting five has objectively played great basketball since officially beginning to share the court together three months ago.
The Suns' matchup with L.A. is set to tip off at 7:00 PM Arizona time.
