How To Watch, Game Notes, Quick Facts, Injury Report: Detroit Pistons vs. Memphis Grizzlies
How To Watch
At 38-18, the Grizzlies are currently 3rd in the West and obviously have one of the best overall players in the league in Ja Morant. With a healthy roster, Memphis is one of the best young teams in the league. Ascending players like Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr., along with veteran big Steven Adams make up a formidable group. Morant has been on a tear and the Grizz have had one of the longer winning streaks in the NBA this season (11 games). He's going to be a lot for the Pistons to handle especially if Cade Cunningham can't go for the fifth game in a row.
Probable Starters
As you can see, Cunningham is not listed as a probable starter tonight as he's still recovering from a hip pointer. Expect head coach Dwane Casey to address Cunningham's status later tonight during pre-game media availability. It's also worth nothing that Trey Lyles obviously won't be available tonight since he was traded to the Kings earlier today.
Injury Report
Cunningham is listed as questionable as he has been ever since injuring his hip four games ago. Josh Jackson is on the injury report but he was also traded to the Kings earlier today.
Game Notes
Hamidou Diallo is averaging 1.2 steals per game and routinely shakes things up on defense whether he's staring or coming in off the bench. That is a testament to his positioning and also to his length and activity. He brought a lot of hustle and energy to the floor as he filled in for Jerami Grant. Detroit's fourth-place rank in bench scoring is also impressive and should actually improve as Kelly Olynyk continues to get up to full strength.
