Pistons head coach Dwane Casey said it himself, tonight was a stinker. For the first time since the all-star break, the Pistons looked like a young, rebuilding and severely outmatched team. Of course, the defending champion Bucks can do that to a lot of teams.

"That's a well-oiled machine," Casey said of the Bucks. "They're playing like a championship team. That's what I told Bud. They're hitting on all cylinders. You make one mistake, they make you pay."

The Bucks made the Pistons pay a lot on Friday night. In fact, there were zero lead changes. The Bucks jumped on Detroit early, leading by as much as 32 points, and never looked back.

Giannis Antetokounmpo did his thing, as usual, scoring 30 points, grabbing 13 rebounds and dishing out 8 assists. The MVP candidate and his running mates are firing on all cylinders, getting healthy and gearing up for what should be a deep playoff run.

For the Pistons, it was a special night for bench warrior Rodney McGruder, who scored a career high 26 points. It's unfortunate that the consummate pro's best night as a hooper was a loss, but his efforts won't be forgotten by Dwane Casey and the rest of the Pistons. Saddiq Bey had 20 points despite going just 2-for-12 from deep, while Cade Cunningham had 14 to go along with his 7 assists and 6 rebounds. It was a bad loss, but again, losses right now only help the Pistons in the long run when it comes to draft status.
