The Pistons Are Officially On A Skid

Detroit has now lost four games in a row after its most recent defeat in Minnesota.

The Pistons are officially in the midst of a losing streak. After falling 118-105 against Minnesota, the Pistons have now lost four games in a row with several tough opponents still looming on the schedule.

The Pistons just lost to Minnesota on Thursday in Detroit, and today with D'Angelo Russel back in the lineup, the Timberwolves handed the Pistons another L. Russell dropped 22 on the Pistons, while Malik Beasley added 20 off the bench with five three-pointers. Karl Anthony-Towns led the way for Minnesota with 24.

Saddiq Bey led the way for the Pistons with 24 of his own, including 18 from behind the three-point line. Bey got hot in the third quarter and helped keep the Pistons in it but ultimately the T-Wolves pulled away down the stretch.

Detroit got double-digit scoring efforts from Bey, Jerami Grant, Cory Joseph, Hamidou Diallo, Killian Hayes and Trey Lyles but against an offensively powerful team like Minnesota, the efforts weren't big enough. Isaiah Stewart only scored five points, but he grabbed 12 rebounds giving him five double-digit rebound games in a row.

When you take a glance at the box score, Minnesota's three-point shooting efficiency jumps out. The Timberwolves went 17-of-36 (.472) from three-point range, which was better than they're overall shooting percentage (.462). That can't happen against a team who puts up as many treys as the T-Wolves do.

The Pistons will take on the Dallas Mavericks in Dallas on Tuesday, Feb. 8. Hopefully the Pistons can get Cade Cunningham back for that matchup with Luka Doncic and the Mavs because he's been sorely missed over these last four games, all losses.
