Hamidou Diallo is averaging 1.2 steals per game and routinely shakes things up on defense whether he's starting or coming off the bench. Against the Hornets, Diallo's defensive efforts led to one of the best in-game dunks of the NBA season.

That is a testament to his positioning and also to his athleticism and activity. He brought a lot of hustle and energy to the floor as he filled in for Jerami Grant. Detroit's fourth-place rank in bench scoring is also impressive and should actually improve as Kelly Olynyk continues to get up to full strength.
