Bucks Star Pops Up on Injury Report Ahead of Raptors Game
Giannis Antetokounmpo has popped up on the Milwaukee Bucks' injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the Toronto Raptors.
The two-time NBA MVP is one of three rotation players listed as probable alongside former Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. and Andre Jackson Jr., the Bucks announced. Antetokounmpo is dealing with right patella tendinopathy while Trent has lower back spasms and Jackson is tending to a hip pointer injury. Trent is expected to return after a two-game absence.
It'll be Toronto's first game against Trent since the 25-year-old signed with the Bucks in free agency this past summer. Trent has struggled to start the season and was moved out of the starting lineup last week as Milwaukee opted to promote Jackson from his bench role. If Trent plays, he should provide the Bucks with some three-point shooting off the bench despite his pitiful 23.1% stroke from three-point range so far this season.
Toronto remains without Scottie Barnes (orbital fracture), Kelly Olynyk (back strain), Bruce Brown (knee surgery), and Ja'Kobe Walter (AC joint sprain) who are all expected to miss at least another week. None of the four has a definitive timetable to return.
Garrett Temple is doubtful with a back strain, though the 38-year-old has not been part of Toronto's rotation this season.
The Raptors will wrap up their nine-day road trip in Milwaukee before two days off in Toronto ahead of a date with the Detroit Pistons on Friday. Tuesday's game will also mark the start of NBA Cup play for both teams this season.
