The Brooklyn Nets are going to be without their leading scorer Tuesday night when they take on the Toronto Raptors.

Cam Thomas has officially been downgraded to out with a left ankle sprain, the Nets announced. It’ll be the ninth straight game the Nets have played without Thomas who is averaging 26.9 points per game this season.

Brooklyn will, however, have Nic Claxton available. He’d been listed as questionable to play but he’s been upgraded and will play through right leg cramps. He’s expected to slide back into his starting center spot for the Nets and will give Toronto problems as he’s one of the league’s top defensive centers when healthy.

Cameron Johnson remains probable to play while Dennis Smith Jr is still questionable. Noah Clowney is out with a right shoulder injury.

For Toronto, Christian Koloko is the only injured player as he continues to battle an ongoing respiratory illness that’s been plaguing him since the summer. He remains without a timeline to return.

Gradey Dick is also out as he’ll remain on G League assignment with the Raptors 905 for now. There’s no timetable for when he’ll return to the Raptors.

While the Raptors have been eliminated from in-season tournament contention, the Nets are playing to advance through the first round. Brooklyn needs a win and either a Celtics loss to Chicago or a better point differential than Boston and Orlando. That would require the Nets winning by at least 15 points to top the Magic’s point differential.
