Raptors Make Front Office Changes to Scouting Department & Medical Team
The Toronto Raptors have announced a trio of changes to the organization’s front office ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Former Raptors 905 general manager Chad Sanders has been promoted to the Director of Scouting for the Raptors’ big club. Sanders was named the 2020-21 NBA G League Executive of the Year after leading the team to a 12-3 record that season. He previously worked for the Dominican Republic national program prior to joining the 905.
In his place will step Luke Winn as the new Raptors 905 general manager. Winn has worked with Toronto for seven seasons and will continue his role as the Raptors' Director of Prospect Strategy. He previously worked as a journalist for Sports Illustrated and has a degree in journalism from Northwestern.
Former Raptors player Ben Uzoh has now officially joined the organization as a pro scout. He was with Toronto last season as part of the Future Basketball Operations Stars program. He played for the Raptors in 2011-12, infamously recording a triple-double in the final game of the season as Toronto beat the then-New Jersey Nets to slide down one spot in the lottery and miss out on Damian Lillard.
Rayhan Malik has been promoted to Head Athletic Trainer. He previously was an assistant athletic trainer for Toronto and was the head trainer for the Raptors 905 from 2017 to 2021.
