Raptors Announce Preseason Schedule Featuring Game vs Australian Team
The Toronto Raptors will play four preseason games this October including an October 15 matchup against the Cairns Taipans of Australia's National Basketball League, the team announced Thursday.
Toronto will open its schedule on October 8 against the Sacramento Kings in Vancouver. That game will tipoff at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) at Rogers Arena as part of the NBA's Canada Series.
The Raptors will then return home a week later for their matchup against the Taipans. Cairns finished with the third-best record in the NBL last season and was led by DJ Hogg who played in Summer League for the Raptors last month.
Following the game, the Raptors will head to Chicago to take on the Bulls on Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. ET before wrapping up their preseason back home at Scotiabank Arna against the Washington Wizards on Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
The NBA is yet to announce a regular season schedule for this year.
Training camp for the Raptors is expected to begin on the West Coast, though no official announcement has been made by the team yet.
