The injury bug just won't go away for the Toronto Raptors.

With Pascal Siakam, Dalano Banton, Precious Achiuwa, and Otto Porter Jr. already out with injuries, Toronto has now added Chris Boucher to the injury report with a non-COVID illness. Gary Trent Jr. too, who had been sidelined with a hip injury, is now out with a non-COVID illness, the team announced Friday.

Fred VanVleet only just returned from a two-game absence due to a non-COVID illness. He said he still wasn't at full strength for Wednesday's game though felt good enough to play through the bug.

"I still feel like shit," he said Wednesday. "You know when you’re sick and you wake up, you feel better the day before, you think you're ready to go, took all about three minutes before I realized I wasn't 100 percent yet."

With so many players sidelined, Juancho Hernangomez will likely start alongside Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, O.G. Anunoby, and Thad Young. Expect Christian Koloko, Malachi Flynn, Jeff Dowtin Jr., Khem Birch, and potentially Justin Champagnie to all see minutes off the bench on Saturday.

Toronto does have a few days off after Saturday's game in Atlanta before returning home to take on the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
