Raptors Host Former Teammate As Nets Come to Town: Where to Watch, Injury Reports, and More
The Toronto Raptors will host Dennis Schröder and the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night: Where to watch, injury reports, and more
In this story:
The Toronto Raptors are back.
After a week off for the All-Star break, the Raptors will return home Thursday night to host Dennis Schröder and the Brooklyn Nets at 7 p.m. ET.
Where to Watch
TSN and the FAN 590 will air the game in Toronto. The YES Network and WFAN will broadcast for Brooklyn.
What to Watch For
- The Raptors have talked about wanting to finish the season strong and the Nets should provide a rare opportunity for Toronto to clinch a win down the stretch run. Brooklyn has been among the league's worst teams for nearly two months now and if there's any hope for a play-in berth this year, it'll require beating the Nets.
- Scottie Barnes had an impressive bounce-back performance against the Indiana Pacers heading into the break, showing the kind of leadership and intensity Toronto has been looking for. The hope for the Raptors is that'll continue as more than just a one-off performance from their All-Star forward.
- Toronto is still looking for Immanuel Quickley to get settled in as the team's lead point guard. It's been a bit of an adjustment for the 24-year-old who is getting accustomed to playing starter's minutes against the other team's top defenders. The Raptors aren't too concerned, but ideally, the final 27 games are a jumping-off point for Quickley moving forward.
Injury Reports
The Raptors are back at full strength with Javon Freeman-Liberty, Markquis Nowell, and Jontay Porter on G League assignments.
Dariq Whitehead will be the only sidelined player for the Nets.
Game Odds
The Raptors are -1.5 point favorites with an implied win probability of 56.5%. The total for the game is 231.5.
