Raptors Look to Bounce Back vs. Pistons: Where to Watch, Injury Reports, Odds
The Toronto Raptors will need a bounce-back performance Friday night as Dwane Casey and the Detroit Pistons come to town for a 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff at Scotiabank Arena.
Where to Watch
Sportsnet and the FAN 590 will air the game in Toronto. Bally Sports Detroit and 97.1 The Ticket will call the game for Detroit.
What to Watch For
- Thursday's practice didn't bring good news for Scottie Barnes, Gary Trent Jr., or Precious Achiuwa and it looks like the three are closer to doubtful than probable to play Friday. That means the Raptors are going to need more from the bench this time around with Will Barton and Malachi Flynn expected to see playing time. Barton has failed to find a rhythm in Toronto and needs to start making some of his open looks.
- Toronto's point-of-attack defense left a lot to be desired Wednesday night. It's not as much of an issue against a lackluster Pistons squad, but Jaden Ivey has given the Raptors trouble in the past.
- Casey has had Toronto's number ever since leaving the organization back in 2018 but the Raptors can go for the season sweep of Detroit with a win Friday. Have little doubt that Raptors coach Nick Nurse would like to have that feather in his cap.
Injury Report
Barnes, Trent, Achiuwa, and Joe Weiskamp are all questionable. Dalano Banton and Otto Porter Jr. are both out for the Raptors.
The Pistons will be without Bojan Bogdanovic, Alec Burks, Cade Cunningham, Hamidou Diallo, Rodney McGruder, and Isaiah Stewart. Isaiah Livers is probable.
Game Odds
The Raptors are -13.5 point favorites with an implied win probability of 91%. The total for the game is 224.
