It’s not even a month into the NBA season and the league’s first blockbuster deal has already sparked a flood of trade chatter.

The Toronto Raptors are once again expected to take center stage as trade rumors pick up with O.G. Anunoby’s name already being floated as a potential target for the Philadelphia 76ers, according to SI’s Chris Mannix.

Philadelphia traded James Harden to the Los Angeles Clippers in a three-team deal that’ll see the 76ers acquire Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, Nic Batum, KJ Martin, a 2028 unprotected first-round pick, a 2029 pick swap, two second-round picks, and a 2026 first-round pick from Oklahoma City Thunder, per ESPN. That leaves Philadelphia with three movable first-round picks and at least two pick swaps that can be dealt as part of a future deal closer to the trade deadline.

It's widely expected that the 76ers aren’t done making deals now, considering Joel Embiid is unlikely to be patient enough to wait around for that 2028 first-round pick to be realized. Anunoby is one potential trade target along with Zach LaVine whose name has also been mentioned, according to Mannix.

An Anunoby deal with the Raptors would be a reunion for Anunoby and 76ers coach Nick Nurse. While Toronto has so far been reluctant to move the All-Defense caliber forward, a 1-3 start to the season and his upcoming free agency could change the team’s trade outlook when the trade deadline nears next month.

Toronto would likely want multiple first-round picks and a prospect closer to Scottie Barnes’ timeline in return for Anunoby.
