Bruce Brown’s tenure with the Indiana Pacers may be short-lived.

The 27-year-old wing only just signed with the Pacers this past summer but is reportedly among the players being actively discussed in a trade with the Toronto Raptors that would send Pascal Siakam to Indiana, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania and Sam Amick.

Brown was a key member of Denver’s championship team last season. He averaged 12 points, 1.9 assists, and four rebounds per game off the bench for the Nuggets in the postseason.

In the offseason, Brown signed a two-year $45 million deal with a team option for next season. He’ll earn $22 million this year and $23 million next year if his option is picked up.

With the Pacers, the 6-foot-4 Brown has become a full-time starter, averaging 12.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and three assists while shooting 32.7% from three-point range.

It’s unclear who else could be included in the deal for Siakam. Indiana would have to add at least $8.3 million in salary to facilitate a trade with Toronto. T.J. McConnell will make $8.7 million this year. Obi Toppin sits at $6.8 million. Jalen Smith sits at $5 million.

The Pacers are said to be offering Toronto as many as three first-round picks. Indiana owns all its future first-round picks along with a 2024 first-round pick that will be the least valuable of either Houston, Utah, Oklahoma City, or the Los Angeles Clippers.

Siakam is averaging 22.2 points, 4.9 assists, and 6.3 rebounds per game this year. He is set to earn $37.9 million in the final year of his contract with the Raptors.
