Jimmy Butler Out, Kyle Lowry Available, Gary Trent Jr. Still Sidelined for Raptors
The Toronto Raptors are catching a little injury luck Tuesday night against the Miami Heat.
Jimmy Butler has suddenly been ruled out with neck soreness, Miami announced. He had initially not been listed on the Heat's injury report but will now not play Tuesday.
Miami will, however, have Kyle Lowry available as the former Raptors guard makes his return to Toronto for the second time this season. Lowry is not expected to play Wednesday night Miami takes on New York on the second night of a back-to-back.
With Butler sidelined, Lowry will likely slide back into the starting lineup after
Trent Remains Out
Toronto remains without Gary Trent Jr. who continues to battle right elbow soreness. It doesn't sound like it's a serious injury and the team is hoping a couple of days off before Friday's game should help Trent, Raptors coach Nick Nurse said.
Expect Jeff Dowtin Jr. to get more playing time off the bench as Toronto looks for some guard depth with Will Barton still sidelined.
