Raptors Add Immanuel Quickley To Injury Report
It's time for someone new to step up.
That's all the Toronto Raptors can hope for now that Immanuel Quickley has popped up on the injury report as out for personal reasons. He's the fourth of Toronto's typical starters to be ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings.
Quickley was at practice Tuesday morning participating in team activities and had played in Toronto's previous games against Orlando.
The Raptors are already without RJ Barrett who continues to be away from the team following the death of his younger brother Nathan. There's no timetable for his return and the Raptors have said they want to give Barrett this time to grieve with his family.
Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, Chris Boucher, and DJ Carton all remain with the team but have been ruled out as well. Barnes and Poeltl were seen at practice with braces on their hands following the surgery both players had earlier this month. There's no timetable for either of them to return.
Boucher has likely been ruled out for the season with a partial tear of his MCL. Toronto is expecting his recovery to take him through the end of the season.
Bruce Brown had previously started in Quickley's place when Toronto was forced to make do without its starting point guard earlier this month. He'll likely start alongside Kelly Olynyk, Gradey Dick, Ochai Agbaji, and Gary Trent Jr.
Expect Javon Freeman-Liberty to slide back into the rotation as Toronto's backup point guard with Quickley sidelined.
