It’ll be another shorthanded night for the Toronto Raptors who take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Jakob Poeltl, Otto Porter Jr., and Christian Koloko all continue to be sidelined. Porter had been listed as doubtful heading into Tuesday’s game, but he was immediately ruled out Wednesday with a right knee sprain.

Without Poeltl and Koloko, Toronto will likely be forced to turn to Thad Young for the start once again. The 35-year-old made his first start of the season against the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring 10 points in 29 minutes.

Expect Chris Boucher and Jontay Porter to see playing time in Toronto’s frontcourt off the bench as well. Neither player played particularly well against the Lakers, but the Raptors are quite thin in the frontcourt with both their traditional centers sidelined with injuries.

Poeltl has been ruled out indefinitely with a left ankle injury that he suffered stepping on Pascal Siakam’s foot over the weekend. He’ll be re-evaluated in two weeks before a clearer timeline on his return should be available.

The Clippers, conversely, have just one injury to Moussa Diabate who has been ruled out.

Los Angeles did have some big news Wednesday, announcing a new extension for Kawhi Leonard who will reportedly make $152.4 million over the next three seasons. The deal was ironically announced just hours before the Clippers host Toronto, Leonard’s former team.

Following the Clippers game, the Raptors will wrap up their west coast road trip in Utah on Friday before returning home to take on the Boston Celtics.
