Raptors Re-Sign Ramsey to 2nd Contract
Jahmi'us Ramsey is sticking around.
The Toronto Raptors have re-signed the 22-year-old to a second 10-day contract, the team announced Thursday.
Ramsey had appeared in two games for Toronto, playing 25 minutes and scoring six points on 2-for-10 shooting.
The Raptors are likely to give Ramsey a longer look as they continue to battle injuries and pivot toward next season with eyes on the NBA Draft.
The new deal will take Ramsey through the next five games for Toronto. The Raptors will have to re-sign Ramsey for the remainder of the season if they’d like to keep him around following the expiration of his second 10-day contract.
Ramsey played in two G League games with the 905, scoring 39 points in 68 minutes while shooting 15-for-31 with 15 rebounds and eight assists.
He previously appeared in 30 games with the Oklahoma City Blues this season, averaging 20.6 points while shooting 53.1% from the floor with 7.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
Toronto had previously signed DJ Carton, Mouhamadou Gueye, and Justise Winslow to 10-day contracts. Carton and Gueye were both promoted to the team on two-way contracts.
Ramsey will take up Toronto’s final roster spot.
