Jahmi'us Ramsey will not be staying with the Toronto Raptors.

The organization has opted to let Ramsey's 10-day contract expire and will reportedly ink Kobi Simmons to a 10-day deal, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Ramsey had signed a pair of 10-days with Toronto meaning the organization had to sign him through the end of the season to retain him going forward. Considering how he'd played over the past couple of weeks, it's somewhat surprising the Raptors decided to move on from the 22-year-old shooting guard.

Simmons gives Toronto a little more point guard depth with Immanuel Quickley sidelined for personal reasons. The 6-foot-5 26-year-old has spent the season with the Raptors 905 where he's averaged 15.1 points and 5.6 assists per game while shooting 42.9% from the floor and 34.3% from three-point range across 33 appearances for Toronto's G League affiliate.

The Arizona product went undrafted in 2017 before latching on with the Memphis Grizzlies as a rookie in 2017-18. He's appeared in 38 NBA games across three seasons with Memphis, Cleveland, and Charlotte while splitting time in the G League.

The 905 traded for Simmons back in November in a deal with the Greensboro Swarm for Sterling Brown and Gabe Brown.

Toronto has 22 days left this season and can sign Simmons to two 10-day contracts before the organization would have to ink him through the end of the year.

Ramsey will become an unrestricted free agent and will likely return to the G League.
