The Toronto Raptors will face off against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night: Where to watch, injury reports, and more
In this story:
It'll be another big one in the race to the bottom for the Toronto Raptors who take on the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. ET in Toronto.
Where to Watch
Sportsnet and the FAN 590 will broadcast for Toronto. The YES Network and WFAN 66 AM - 101.9 FM will broadcast for Brooklyn.
What to Watch For
- Toronto has lost 10 straight and has opened a full game lead on the Memphis Grizzlies for the sixth-worst record in the NBA. The Raptors only have three games remaining against teams outside the playoff picture and that includes Monday's game against the Nets. This should be a competative games, but Toronto probably prefers to lose it.
- Gary Trent Jr. has looked really impressive lately as he battles through a nagging back issue. He's going to be tasked with having to lead this shorthanded Raptors squad offensively. It's not always pretty, but Trent can score in a hurry and should be able to keep Monday's game relatively close.
- Toronto opted to part ways with Jahmi'us Ramsey on Sunday and will sign Kobi Simmons to a 10-day contract. Simmons should see his first NBA action of the season against the Nets as a point guard off the bench for the Raptors.
Injury Reports
The Raptors remain without Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, DJ Carton, Jontay Porter, and Chris Boucher.
The Nets have ruled out Kieta Bates-Diop, Cameron Johnson, Ben Simmons, Dennis Smith Jr., and Dariq Whitehead.
Game Odds
The Raptors are +6.5 point underdogs with an implied win probability of 32%. The total for the game is 217.5.
