The Toronto Raptors will once again be heading out west to open training camp this summer in Vancouver, the team announced Friday.
Toronto will practice at the Christine Sinclair Community Centre in Burnaby from October 3 through the 7th. It's the team's eighth time holding camp on the West Coast and sixth time in Vancouver. Last season the team trained in Victoria.
Raptors Media Day is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 2 in Toronto after which the team will fly out west.
The team will hold their annual Open Practice at the West Gym on the Simon Fraser University campus in Burnaby on Oct. 6. The proceeds from the event will go toward the SFU Athletics General Fund.
Toronto will play its first preseason game in Vancouver on October 8 against the Sacramento Kings as part of the Canada Series. Their preseason will then continue back home on Oct. 15 against the Cairns Taipans of Australia's National Basketball League.
The NBA season will open Oct. 24 with Toronto's first game yet to be announced.
