Raptors Unveil New Court for NBA's In-Season Tournament
The Toronto Raptors have unveiled their new OVO-themed court for this season's in-season tournament, the league announced Monday.
The new court is painted completely in black and gold with the league's in-season trophy depicted at the center court. The goal for the league was to have a distinct court for these in-season tournament games with new fully pained and bold designs.
The court will be used exclusively for the NBA's in-season tournament which will start in November with games taking place on Tuesdays and Fridays. Toronto's first tournament game will take place on Friday, Nov. 17 when the Boston Celtics come to town.
The Raptors will wear their new black and gold city uniforms during home tournament games this season. The uniform has yet to be officially announced but photos have been released unofficially.
Toronto has been using the black and gold scheme since the 2015-16 season when the organization debuted the uniform as a nod to Drake's brand OVO.
Following the Celtics game, the Raptors will play in-season tournament games on Tuesday, Nov. 21 against Orlando, Friday, Nov. 24 against Chicago, and Tuesday, Nov. 28 against Brooklyn.
The eight teams with the best record will then advance to the knockout rounds where the in-season tournament will continue into December. The final of the tournament will take place in Las Vegas where a winner will be crowned with prize money up for grabs.
All games excluding the final will count toward the NBA's regular season standings.
